The vendor states that he has owned the gun for over 30 years and that the gun was reputedly built for the Maharajah of Jodphore, the case lid is painted with his name. The replacement barrels are of best quality and were fitted in 1978 in the London trade. Apparently the original barrels were burst by the use of a ball round and the replacement barrels were fitted when the gun was returned to the UK.
