Alex Hintze (1846-1924)
Hintze was a sporting journalist of Finnish descent and was the editor of the first Finnish sports magazine. In 1869 he was one of the founders of the Helsinki Shooters Association and became editor of "Sporten" magazine in 1881.

William Smith is listed at 2 New Lisle Street between 1806 and 1816. He was appointed Gunmaker-in-Ordinary to the Prince Regent in 1817, George IV in 1820. It is believed that he started his serial numbers at 1000 and that this is the earliest gun by him recorded.
