AN EXCEPTIONAL PAIR OF 20-BORE GALEAZZI ENGRAVED SINGLE TRIGGER SIDELOCK EJECTOR OVER AND UNDER GUNS, NOS. 321/2

29-inch barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 1/2 and full choke borings, matted solid ribs, the frames, locks and gold numbered top levers engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork incorporating floral motifs against a stippled ground, the pinless locks all engraved with fine scenes of game birds in flight against woodland settings, the trigger plates signed Laura Galeazzi, serial numbers and maker's name inlaid in gold, 14 1/2-inch highly figured exhibition grade stocks with semi psitol grips, 6lb. 10oz., Italian nitro proof, in their leather case with accessories and maker's certificates

The guns were delivered in 2004 and remain little used.

30-inch Whitworth steel barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 3/4 choke borings, broad flat file-cut rib, top extension with concealed bird sight, the frame, locks and top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving and retaining much hardening colour, gold lined cocking indicators, patent single trigger, rolled edge trigger guard, 14 1/2-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip leather-covered recoil pad, 7lb. 11oz., nitro proof, in its maker's brassbound oak and leather case

The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1927. It has been converted to a single trigger and fitted with a replacement stock.

29-inch barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers, with interchangeable Teague choke tubes, narrow file-cut rib, engraved breeches, the rounded frame, pinless locks and top lever profusely engraved with fine bouquet and scrollwork, the action base with a scene of a game bird in flight within a gold border and signed D. V. Hudson, the trigger plate signed P. A. Banks 2005, the maker's name signed in gold, gold-lined cocking indicators, rolled edge trigger guard, 14 3/4-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip and leather covered recoil pad, 6lb. 10oz., nitro proof, in its maker's leather case

The gun was recently completed and appears virtually unused, retaining almost all of its original finish. The new cost today would be in excess of £58,000.
