The guns was completed in 2006 and remain virtually unused. This gun is believed to be a prototype of the revolutionary "Poseidon" model, being the first gun to incorporate a true sidelock design within a detachable trigger plate.

The gun is number 50 of a limited edition of 50 guns built in 1990 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This gun, the last completed and the only with 'deluxe' gold engraving, was completed for Squadron Leader Tony Down who was then flying with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The gun is now offered on the 70th Anniversary of this epic battle.

J. Wiseman, the rolled edge trigger guard with gold inlaid dates 1852 to 2002, 15-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip, 5lb. 10oz., nitro proof, in its maker's lightweight leather case

The gun was built in 2002 using the classic Boss & Co. design. It commemorates the 150th Anniversary of James Crockart & Son and was the first of a line of new models by this maker.
