W. TRANTER A TRANTER'S PATENT .455 REVOLVER, NO. 4915 6-inch octagonal barrel, the top rib engraved with the retailer's name and address, "R. B. Rodda, London & Calcutta", the hinged frame with six-shot cylinder, the lower portion with border engraving and retaining some of its original nickel plating, chequered walnut grip with lanyard loop, black powder proof, in its baize-lined oak case with retailer's label S5 This revolver is a scarce example of Tranter's last revolver design, patent 2855 of 1879.
