W. & C. SCOTT A FINE PAIR OF 12-BORE "CHATSWORTH" MODEL BOXLOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 146809/10 28-inch barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, the frames, side plates and top levers with bouquet and scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, retaining all of their original bright finish, 16-inch highly figured stocks, 6lb. 6oz., nitro proof, in their maker's brassbound leather case S2 The guns were built in 1983 and have been relatively little used. The "Chatsworth" was W. & C. Scott's best model and relatively few pairs were built by the firm. A copy of the original invoice dated 30.6.83 is included and shows a cost of £7,871.00 for the pair. |
