PURDEY & SONS A 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 24808 30-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/2 and full choke borings, the frame, locks and numbered top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving and retaining some original hardening colour, lined cocking indicator, 16-inch highly figured stock including leather covered recoil pad, with slightly off-set comb, 6lb. 13oz., nitro proof, canvas case S2 The maker confirms that the gun was completed in 1934 as the No.2 of a pair of guns for A. P. Walshe.  The gun was restocked by the maker in 1964 with the notes, "..trigger guards altered and iron work set..".
