26-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 7/8 choke borings, (No.1 gun with replacement barrels by the maker), the additional interchangeable barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 3/8 and 5/8 choke borings, top extensions, the frames, locks and gold numbered top levers with scroll engraving around feather motifs and retaining some original hardening colour, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, 14 1/4-inch well figured stocks including 3/4-inch ebonite extensions, 6lb. 6oz., nitro proof, in their maker's individual lighweight leather cases
The maker confirms that the guns were built circa 1937 and that the replacement barrels for the No.1 gun were fitted at a later date. |
