JOHN DICKSON & SON A 12-BORE ROUND ACTION EJECTOR GUN, NO. 4774 28-inch replacement chopper lump barrels by David McKay Brown, with 2 1/2-inch chambers about improved cylinder and 1/4 choke boring, top extension, the rounded frame and numbered top lever with fine scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, the fences carved with leaves, gold cocking stud, 14 1/4-inch well figured stock including 3/8-inch extension, cast on for the left shoulder, 6lb., nitro proof, in its maker's brassbound leather case
The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1895 and the gun was rebarelled by David McKay Brown in 1986. The stock was reset for the left shoulder at this time and should easily bend back to its original right handed dimensions. |
