30-inch chopper-lump damascus barrels with 2-inch chambers, about true cylinder borings, the bar-in-wood frame, non-rebounding bar locks, hammers and push-down underlever with fine scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, the breech engraved "MacNaughton's Patent Lockfast", 14 1/4-inch figured half-length stock with engraved heel and toe plates, 6lb. 11oz., black powder proof, bores pitted

The gun conforms to MacNaughton's patent number 1971 of 1867 and is also unusual in that it appears to have Parsons' patent chopper-lump damascus barrels. |
