BEESLEY A MAGNIFICENT PRESENTATION QUALITY 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 2837 29-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, Holland & Holland type self-opening mechanism, the frame, locks and top lever engraved with finely detailed prehistoric scenes within bold foliate scrollwork, the left lock engraved with a mammoth against a wooded landscape, the action base with a flying pterodactyl above a smoking volcano, the right lock engraved with a running deinonychus, gold lined cocking indicators, rolled edge trigger guard, 15 1/4-inch highly figured exhibition grade stock with Prince of Wales grip, full length semi beaver tail fore-end, 6lb. 14oz., nitro proof, in its ostrich-skin covered oak and leather presentation case containing a full complement of ivory-handled accessories, the engraved hallmarked silver case label continuing the prehistoric theme
The gun was completed in 2006 and appears virtually unused. The gun is engraved by Bill Sinclair and its construction utilises the talent of many of the finest gunmakers working in the trade today. |
