CHARLES DALY A 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 1202 28-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about true cylinder and 1/2 choke borings, the machined rib with centre bead engraved "Charles Daly Diamond Quality", crossbolt extension, the scrollback frame and top lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining traces of hardening colour, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, fences with side clips, cocking indicators, 15-inch highly figured stock with semi pistol grip including 2-inch extension, 6lb. 12oz., German nitro proof S2 The gun was built in Prussia by A H Lindner and is of very fine quality. The barrels have the H.A.L. with crossed pistols mark for Lindner. It is believed that less than 3000 examples were supplied by this maker prior to World War 1. |
