A FINE PAIR OF CASPARD-ENGRAVED "SUPREME DELUXE" MODEL 20-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 76672/3

28-inch chopper lump barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers, about 1/4 choke borings, the breeches lined in gold and the ribs engraved Made to Commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. 1952-1977, the frames, locks and gold numbered top levers profusely engraved with scenes from the life of Queen Elizabeth II, together with the royal residences and various royal motifs, the No.1 gun fences carved with English Tudor roses, the right lock showing the Coronation coach and Buckingham Palace, the left lock showing the Queen being crowned and Windsor Castle, the action base showing the Queen on Coronation Day, the No.2 gun fences carved with Irish shamrocks, the right lock showing the Investiture of the Prince of Wales and Sandringham House, the left lock showing the Royal Family relaxing in the Highlands and Balmoral Castle, the action base showing the Queen at her Jubilee, the whole surrounded by entwined motifs representing the Union of the United Kingdom including, roses, thistles, shamrocks and daffodils together with the flags of each nation, gold washed lockwork and triggers, the maker's name signed in gold, Holland & Holland-type self-opening mechanism, rolled edge trigger guards, 14 3/4-inch well figured stocks slightly cast for the left shoulder, 6lb. 1oz., nitro proof, in their maker's brassbound leather case with canvas outer cover

The maker kindly confirms that the guns were built to commemorate the 1977 Silver Jubilee and they took over three years to complete. The guns appear virtually unused and were featured in a recent Shooting Gazette article commemorating the best guns of the last sixty years.
