The gun was owned by Lt Col Edward Raymond Peal, DSC, OBE, CBE.
Peal served with the Royal Naval Air Service during WW1 and was awarded many honours and decorations for his service with the British Aviation Commission in Paris, sourcing aero engines and other important items. A detailed file is available giving his full history. S2 |
