A FINE PAIR OF 20-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 17150/1

29-inch Whitworth steel chopper-lump barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 3/4 choke borings, the frames, locks and numbered top levers with fine bouquet and scroll engraving and retaining much of their original hardening colour, cocking indicators, 14-inch highly figured stocks with ribbed heel plates, the silver escutcheon engraved the motto "If I Rest I Rust", 5lb. 10oz., nitro proof, bores very slightly marked, in their maker's brassbound oak and leather case with canvas outer cover

The maker confirms that the guns were built in May 1901 for Baron d'Erlanger. The guns retain a high degree of original finish and remain in a very good and original unrestored condition.
