29-inch damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about true cylinder borings, the rib engraved "Bacon's Patent No. 179", the bolt with turn-down handle and cocking indicators, the covers and furniture with fine scroll engraving, side safety catch, half length stock with ejection port and straight hand, 14-inch pull with engraved heel and toe plates, 7lb. 6oz., nitro re-proof
The gun conforms with Bacon's patent number 3242 of 1870.
