28 3/4-inch damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about true cylinder borings, the frame, rebounding bar locks and sliding top lever with fine scroll engraving, the hammers with self-retracting strikers, 14 1/4-inch well figured stock with steel butt plate, with repair under the right lock, 6lb. 15oz., black powder proof (1868 Rules)

The gun incorporates two of Horsley's best known patents, namely the sliding top lever and self-retracting strikers.
