A 12-BORE MODEL 32 TC SINGLE TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER EJECTOR GUN, NO. 2598, FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF RUSSELL B. AITKEN

30-inch barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers, about 3/8 and 3/4 choke borings, machined ventilated rib, the plain blacked frame with pointing dog motifs, the action base embellished with a gilt insignia of the Camp Fire Club of America, selective single trigger, 14 1/2-inch replacement figured maple stock with pistol grip and rubber recoil pad, 8lb. 14oz., nitro proof, together with its original maple stock with raised comb, the pistol grip inlaid with an imperial double-headed eagle and Monte Carlo competition labels

The gun was formerly the property of the well-known American shot Russell B. Aitken (1910-2002). This gun is recorded as having been used in competition in 1957 at Monte Carlo, Estoril and Madrid. Robert Churchill described Aitken as the "greatest all round shot" he had ever encountered and he was often referred to as an icon of American marksmanship.
