30-inch barrel with Henry rifling, with raised fore sight, rear sight with folding leaves to 150, the receiver, back lock, bolted hammer and underlever with fine border and scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner and retaining traces of original hardening colour, receiver ring with patent number, 14-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip and engraved steel butt plate with trap, 7lb. 9oz., black powder proof, in its full length brassbound oak and leather case, leather lined interior with maker's label and load information, the fitted compartments containing a multitude of loading accessories, numbered to the rifle, including hollow-nosed bullet mould, powder flask with patent adustable nozzle, bullet seating tool, nipple key, turnscrew, oil bottle, etc
