28-inch barrel with full-length file-cut rib, with platinum-lined folding leaf sights and folding ladder rear sight (bar missing), the frame and loading lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining some original finish, safety catch, the 14 1/4-inch figured stock with pistol grip and steel butt plate, inlaid to each side with a silver plaque bearing a family crest and engraved "Presented by Lord Northwick to W. F. Egerton", sling eyes, the stock impressed with the Wilkinson retailer's number 7861, 8lb. 2oz., Birmingham black powder proof, in its full length oak fitted case with Wilkinson & Son label, bullet mould, etc
