FRANC SODIA A PAIR OF AUSTRIAN 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 33412 & 33421 28 1/4-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 3/4 and 1/2 and 3/4 choke borings respectively, machined solid ribs with crossbolt extensions, the scroll back frames and top levers engraved with scenes of dogs and game surrounded by scroll engraving and retaining virtually all of their original hardening colour, the trigger guards engraved with the initials "CBV", 14 1/2-inch figured stocks with pistol grips and engraved heel and toe plates, 6lb. 8oz., nitro proof, in their individual Brady canvas cases S2 The guns were built in 1947 for Donald E. Jordan, FO, stationed at RAF Schwechat (Vienna) and appear virtually unused. The original order and maker's receipt, etc are included with the guns. It was not uncommon for British Officers stationed in Austria at the time to order guns from the Ferlach trade. |
