A .375 SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR RIFLE, NO. 15884

25 1/2-inch barrels with full-length file-cut rib, raised fore sight, rear sight with folding leaf to 300, top extension, together with an additional pair of interchangeable 20-bore shotgun barrels by George Gibbs, 2 1/2-inch chambers about 1/2 choke borings, the bolstered frame, sidelocks and snap action rotary underlever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, clipped fences, bolted safety, 8lb. 10oz., nitro proof, in its brassbound oak and canvas case

James Purdey & Sons confirm that the gun was completed as a .303 rifle in 1897. They also confirm that they converted the rifle to .375 for the Countess Northbrook and that it had its additional pair of 20-bore barrels by Gibbs with it at this time.
