30-inch Parson's patent chopper-lump damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers about true cylinder borings, converted from pinfire, the frame, Purdey patent thumb lever, rebounding barlocks and hammers with fine scroll engraving, grip safety, 14 1/4-inch highly figured stock, 7lb., black powder proof

The gun has a number of interesting patent features, notably the grip safety, the Purdey under bolt and thumb lever, as well as the Parson's patent barrels. The action flat is stamped W & C Scott, castle trademark and the breeches have pieces dove-tailed in, indicating a pinfire conversion. left barrel wall thickness below recommended minimum
