A BELGIAN 12-BORE SINGLE TRIGGER OVER AND UNDER EJECTOR PIGEON GUN, NO. 38556, FORMERLY THE PROPERTY OF RUSSELL B. AITKEN

30-inch barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 5/8 and 7/8 choke borings, machined ventilated rib with intermediate bead, the frame with bouquet and scroll engraving around scenes of pigeons, the top surface carved with oak leaves, selective single trigger, 14 1/4-inch figured stock with semi pistol grip and inserted Monte Carlo comb, 8lb. 1oz., Belgian nitro proof, in its leather case with various steamship and competition labels

The gun was formerly the property of the well known American shot, Russell B. Aitken. This gun was clearly a favourite and was used in many live pigeon competitions, including Madrid 1957, Esteril 1957, Barcelona 1959, Monte Carlo 1960, Valencia 1960 and Barcelona 1961.
