J. PURDEY & SONS A FINE 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 25368 28-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about improved cylinder and 1/2 choke borings, the frame, locks and numbered top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving and retaining all of its renewed hardening colour, 15 1/4-inch highly figured stock, 6lb. 7oz., nitro proof, in its brassbound oak and leather case with full complement of maker's accessories and instruction booklet
The maker confirms that the gun was built in August 1937 for a Dr Miller and that it had 28-inch barrels. The gun has been refinished to the highest standard by Ray St Leger and remains little used since.
