Details of Lot 167
STEPHEN GRANT AND SONS
A SCARCE 16-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 6503

30-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about true cylinder and 1/2 choke borings, the frame, locks and top lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining traces of original hardening colour, fluted fences, 14 1/2-inch figured stock including 1 1/2-inch extension, slightly cast on for the left shoulder, 6lb., nitro re-proof, in its maker's brassbound oak and leather case

The maker confirms that the gun was built in circa 1894. It was originally built as a right-handed gun and the stock should easily return to its original specification.
