A SCARCE AND HISTORIC 12-BORE "SUPERPOSED" B25 OVER AND UNDER EJECTOR GUN, NO. 6

32-inch monobloc barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers, about 3/4 choke borings, machined semi-ventilated non-crossfire rib, engraved "Browning Superposed" in a panel at the breech, the barrels engraved "Browning Arms Company, Ogden, Utah, 12ga Special Steel, Made in Belgium", one-piece fore-end with horseshoe retainer, the frame and top lever with border engraving and impressed with the serial number '6' to the top strap, non-automatic safety, 14 3/4-inch figured stock with straight hand and later rubber recoil pad, with period repair through the head, 7lb. 13oz., Belgian nitro proof, fore-end wood with repaired patch let in to the left hand panel

The gun was likely completed in 1930 and is one of the earliest examples of the classic Browning B25 known to exist. Serial number '0' is apparently still retained by Browning and serial number '1', which was shipped to F. N.'s ammunition plant, has recently been discovered in Australia. Serial number '20' was sold through these rooms in 2006.
