PURDEY & SONS A MATCHED PAIR OF 12 BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 24511 AND 25152 28-inch Super Nickel Steel chopper-lump barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about 1/4 and 3/4 choke borings, the frames, locks and numbered top-levers with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, the no. 2 gun retaining much original hardening colour, lined cocking indicators, 15 1/4-inch well figured stocks, no. 1 a replacement, nitro proof, 6lb. 12oz. and 6lb. 6oz. respectively
The makers confirm that gun no. 1 was built in 1934 and that the no. 2 gun was build to match in 1936. |
