together with its punt, trailer, etc, a complete shooting rig, the 102-inch barrel with trunions, signed by the maker Holland & Holland , 98 New Bond Street, London, No. 20049, the massive breech block dropping to reveal the heavily threaded breech, locking latch and cocking lever and with chequered stock, with screw breech block, cartridges, heads, etc, together with its matching grey-painted punt with breeching ropes, oars, etc, together with its custom-made trailer
Punt: 21ft. 7in. long, 3ft. 10in. wide
Holland & Holland confirm that the gun was delivered on January 15th 1914 at a cost of £84. The punt is watertight and the whole outfit has seen regular use and is presented as a complete oufit ready for use. Very few gunning punts remain in use today.
