No.1 gun with 30-inch replacement barrels by the maker with 2 1/2-inch chambers about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, No.2 gun with original 30-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers and fitted with Teague chokes about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, the frames, locks and gold numbered top levers with acanthus scroll engraving and retaining traces of original hardening colour, gold lined cocking indicators, Holland patent single trigger, 15-inch replacement well figured stocks (No.2 gun shortened to 14 1/2-inches), 6lb. 12oz. and 6lb. 9oz. respectively, in their maker's brassbound oak and leather case with dust flap and canvas outer cover
The maker confirms that the guns were built in 1899. |
