28-inch Vickers A Steel chopper-limp barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers, about improved cylinder and 1/4 choke borings, top extensions, the round frames and gold numbered top-levers with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, the No.1 gun retaining almost all of its hardening colour, the No.2 gun retaining much original hardening colour, the action bases signed Dicksons Patent in gold, 14 1/2-inch well figured stocks, , 5lb. 13oz., nitro proof, in their green velvet lined case with canvas outer cover
John Dickson & Sons confirm that the No.1 gun was delivered on the 22nd August 1932, and that the No.2 gun was built to match and delivered on the 25th January 1935. Both guns are recorded as "Best Quality". The pair appear relatively little used, and are extremely lightweight, a Dickson speciality at this time. |
