30-inch barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers about true cylinder and 1/4 choke borings, the additional interchangeable 30-inch chopper-lump barrels by another with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 1/2 and full choke borings, the frame, locks and gold numbered top lever with acanthus scroll engraving and retaining traces of hardening colour, 14 3/4-inch well figured stock including horn butt plate, 6lb. 8oz. and 6lb. 13oz. with each respective set of barrels, nitro proof, in its maker's leather case
The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1905 as the No.1 of a pair with the following lot. The replacement barrels are of the highest quality and were fitted in 1999. |
