A RARE 12-BORE SHO/O SIDELOCK EJECTOR OVER AND UNDER TRAP GUN, NO. 5533
28 1/4-inch monobloc barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 1/2 and full choke borings, machined ventilated rib, the frame, locks and top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, the locks and side panels engraved in Classical style with scenes of Diana and her companions relaxing after a day's hunting, the action base showing Diana with her bow, the figures highlighted in gold, lined cocking indicators, the trigger plate signed Campana, the trigger guard inlaid in gold with the initials C.M., 14 1/2-inch highly figured stock with pistol grip and recoil pad, 7lb. 14oz., in its maker's leather covered case
The gun appears little used. The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1983 and that production of this true sidelock model was very limited and ceased in 1992. It is believed that this example was the only one with extra gold engraving. |
