30-inch damascus barrels with 2 1/2-inch chambers about true cylinder borings, the rounded frame, non-rebounding back locks, hammers with linked pins and rotary underlever with fine border and scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, top strap numbered 1, 13 3/4-inch figured stock, 6lb. 12oz., black powder proof, bores marked and dented

The gun incorporates Alfred Lancaster's Patent 1525 of 1865 relating to the linked firing pins attached to the noses of the hammers. Alfred Lancaster was the son of Charles Lancaster and he set up his own business as a gunmaker in 1859.
