comprising: 1948 London Olympic patch; 1952 Olympic cap; and a comprehensive archive of Royal Air Force Small Association programmes, dating from 1926 to 1969
W. E. Staton enjoyed a long and successful Air Force career, being awarded the Military Cross and Distinguished Flying Cross and bar in 1918, as well as the Distinguished Service Order and bar in 1940. He had a lifelong interest in shooting and was Captain of the 1948 and 1952 British Olympic shooting teams. |
