PURDEY & SONS A PAIR OF 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 17304/5 30-inch chopper-lump barrels (No.2 replacement by the maker), with 2 1/2-inch chambers about 1/4, 1/2 and 1/4, 3/4 choke borings respectively, the frames, locks and numbered top levers with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, cocking indicators, 15 1/2-inch well figured replacement stocks, fitted with rubber comb raisers, 7lb., nitro proof, ejectors require regulation, fore-end loop of the No.2 gun detached, in their maker's brassbound oak and leather case S2 The maker confirms that the guns were built in 1901 for A. Whitelaw. The guns were subsequently re-stocked by the maker in 1947.
