A 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUN, NO. 20980
28-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, about full choke borings (Teague fixed chokes), matted rib, the frame, locks and top lever with fine bouquet and scroll engraving, the locks retaining much hardening colour (possibly renewed), lined cocking indicators, clipped fences, articulated front trigger, 14 1/2-inch, well figured stock including leather covered recoil pad, 6lb. 14oz., nitro re-proof, in its new lightweight leather motor case with Purdey accessories and canvas outer cover.

The maker confirms that the gun was built in 1914. The gun was re-proofed and fitted with fixed Teague chokes in 2008. |
